Qualifications:

What is a Laborer?
In construction, Laborers are the first craftworkers to arrive on a project and last to leave. Laborers perform many tasks on the jobsite, heavy highway, building construction, asphalt, pour and finish concrete, environmental remediation and restoration, tunnel and shaft construction, demolition, underground utilities and hod carriers. Using hand, power and pneumatic tools in the performance of their duties keeping abreast of the latest technology through training. Laborers also assist other crafts in the performance of their day to day assignments along with clearing and preparing sites for asphalt or cement placement to blueprint specifications.
What are the Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Working conditions will vary according to the weather and the type of work performed. Laborers will find themselves working outside in the summer heat and winter cold. Day or evening shifts may be required. Work is performed at heights, in trenches and sometimes underground. Rigorous physical activity and heavy lifting are involved with travel to remote area sometimes necessary.
